  • Order and enquiry information, including products of interest, measurements, fabric and style preferences, and quotes or orders. 
  • Payment information, including the value of the goods or services and the payment method, and we do not store credit card details on our systems. 
  • Communication information, including emails, messages or calls, and any feedback or reviews. 
  • Website information, including information about your use of the website (see section 8). 

HomeVista does not usually collect sensitive information. If we do, we will do so with your consent, or as permitted by law.

Whenever possible, we collect information directly from you. This includes when you submit an inquiry or booking form, contact us by email or phone, schedule a free measure, make a purchase or order, or submit a review. 

It may also include information collected by our website software, such as general information about your use of our site. And it may include information a third party gives us with your consent, such as a builder or property manager arranging installations for you, or an existing customer referring you to us. 

If we receive information about you that we did not ask for and do not need, we will deal with it as required by law, which usually means destroying it securely.

  • Provide you with quotes and measure, make, deliver, and install your curtains, blinds, shutters, or other goods. 
  • Process payments and maintain financial records. 
  • Respond to your requests, questions, or feedback and manage your booking.

  • Our staff and installers need it to measure, make, and install your curtains, blinds, shutters, or other goods. 
  • Our suppliers, manufacturers, payment processors, couriers, web hosting providers, communication platforms, booking systems, accountants, and other service providers. These companies may only process your information for us on our instructions. 
  • Subcontractors that perform certain tasks, such as work related to electric or motorised products. 
  • Lawyers or advisers where needed, for our benefit and sometimes yours, such as for insurance or legal claims. 
  • Government agencies or law enforcement, if required or authorized by law. 
  •  A buyer, if we sell or restructure our business, in which case your information may be transferred as part of the sale. We will notify you if this happens. 

When your information is required for our services, we may move it abroad, but we take reasonable precautions to ensure that the same level of privacy protection is in place. 

 

Data Quality, Storage & Security

We hold your information securely, and we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure. If there is a data breach that is likely to cause serious harm to you, we will notify you and the relevant regulator under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme as required by law. 

 

Marketing & Your Choices

If you have agreed to receive marketing from us, we will send you occasional information about special deals, offers and company news. There is an unsubscribe link in every marketing email, and you can get in touch with us directly to request to be taken off our mailing list. 

We will honour your request to unsubscribe as soon as practicable. We may still contact you about your order, warranty, or other service-related matters.
